What a great night for a great cause! Tom Brokaw in Stamford!
Legendary NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw reported on the most historic events in our lifetime. He is beloved for his bestselling books; The Greatest Generation, Boom and The Time of Our Lives.
Many of us (that's me in the background) spent a fascinating evening as this broadcasting icon spoke and then sat with Fortune magazine’s Geoff Colvin for a conversation on America – our politics, our culture, who we are, where we’ve been and how we can recapture the American dream. After Brokaw’s speech, he sat with Geoff Colvin of Fortune magazine for a lively conversation and took our questions. Many of our students attended, as well as several teachers!
The event benefited the Stamford Dollars for Scholars (sd4s.org) whose sole mission is to provide scholarships for local Stamford students. (Part article taken from S/Advocate)
Go online and check it out! Looking forward to a great week. Mid-terms are here! Stay warm, Dr. V

With just 12 days until mid-term exams, please remind your students to begin review now! The best way that students can prepare is to start studying early. Teachers will be working diligently to finish up the semester or mid-term work. If you have any questions, please contact teachers or guidance counselors via e-mail or phone. All information can be found on our fabulous website!
Have a great and stay warm! Dr. Valentine

Stopping By the Woods
by Robert Frost
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
